Veronica Garayzar
Administrative Assistant I - Bilingual
I am originally from Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, I have been happily married since 1991 and proud parent of three grown children. My professional journey in education began at the central offices of the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), where I dedicated eleven years of my career.
In March 2020, I made the significant move to San Diego with my husband, seeking new opportunities and adventures. Shortly after relocating, I found a position at Nothing Bundt Cakes, where I gained experience in customer service.
In January 2021, I transitioned back to the education sector by joining the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD). After gaining valuable experience at Mann Middle, San Diego High School and Whittier, I was thrilled to accept the role of Administrative Assistant at EVMCHS in July 2025. This new position not only marked a significant step in my career but also allowed me to apply the skills I had developed in my previous roles. Every position has been incredibly fulfilling, as it allows me to contribute to the education sector and make a positive impact on students' lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching movies/series, and I have a soft spot for rescuing stray cats, giving them the love and care they deserve.
