EVMCHS: THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN SAN DIEGO!
East Village Middle College High School (EVMCHS) is a small non-traditional high school located on the campus of San Diego City College (SDCC). EVMCHS offers a rigorous and self-driven program centered around community, student choice and dual enrollment opportunities. Supported by unique partnership between the San Diego Community College District and San Diego Unified School District, EVMCHS supports students taking up to 11 weighted college credits each semester (including optional summer and winter session courses) while earning their high school diploma.
EVMCHS students have the opportunity to earn professional certificates, complete all UC/CSU general education requirements and even earn Associate’s Degrees while in high school. All courses and materials are free of charge, making East Village the most accelerated and cost effective secondary school in San Diego. EVMCHS students regularly graduate with an excess of 40 college credits, and continue on to some of the best universities in the country.
